RJ and Liz were super organized, punctual, friendly, and did a great job with coaching me on how to train my dog Oakley. He is 2 years old and not the best with being around new people and kids but they took the time to make him comfortable and helped me learn how to correct some of my dogs behavior. They also helped me to understand that my dogs attitude was not aggression but fear so now I have more tools in my bucket to work to correct those issues. We did the basic class and I do plan to do more advanced training in the future but just in the time I have spent working with them I have already seen an improvement in my dogs behavior.

RJ can put the dog whisperer to shame! When I first started with him it was because my 110lb Great Dane/Lab Mix was starting to show aggression. Pickle was rescued by my husband and I from a dog fighting ring (very abusive owners!!!) and he has many issues. He is a very sweet boy, but head strong and very reactive. It took me months to be able to get him to sit and we had just about given up on training him. He couldn’t be walked on a leash, was very aggressive at the sight of other dogs, and refused to learn even the simplest commands. When he started to get aggressive with our other smaller dog…we knew we needed help.

I called him with my concerns and he came out the same DAY to meet Pickle. He handled him professionally and very carefully. At the end of that meet he had Pickle walking next to him on a leash perfectly!!! After seeing LITERAL MAGIC, We signed up for the 5 week course and what we struggled to do for months only took RJ an hour with Pickle. Because of his history of abuse, RJ made the program specifically designed to his needs and walked us through every step of the way. We really appreciated how honest he was with us and not only gave Pickle feedback, but us as well. The dog is not the only one at fault when their behavior takes a turn, and we were given the tools and guidance we needed to be better dog parents. Did I mention his training program doesn’t involve treats? THATS HOW GOOD!

It has been a year since this simple training and Pickle is now renowned at our apartment complex! He walks SO well on a leash that we let children walk him! He also lets people pet him, is no longer leash aggressive, and he has so many friends at the dog park. Pickle is able to come when called, sit, lay down, and can stay. With Pickles size I was so worried about the “One Bite Law” when he started showing signs of aggression. I can proudly say RJ’s training may have saved his life. Heaven forbid he would have broke off of a leash and attacked another dog.

We have recommended RJ to anyone and everyone. He not only does behavior modification and obedience training, we are considering in enrolling our other dog into his protection course! The trainings are simple, straight forward, and very cheap. He also works completely around your schedule. You can tell he cares about dogs very much, which is a good skill to have. He probably should charge more if im being honest 😉

If you want someone that truly cares, is a true professionally , and not afraid to do what he has to to make sure your dog is safe… then this amazing man’s training is for you. Anyone would be a fool to pass him up.

We have an Australian shepherd that was nervous and a little aggressive with people. He wasn't making progress at a different training facility so we contact RJ at canine masters. We’ve seen a huge difference in our dogs anxiety levels as well as his obedience in general. We are very happy with the progress he has made.

After our new rescue dog bit a family friend in our home, we were devastated thinking we would have to give her up and knew she would likely be euthanize. We exhausted the list of dog trainers in Colorado Springs as most wouldn’t work with an aggressive dog or were so unreasonably expensive that it wasn’t doable. We just finished our 5 week training course with K9 Master Dog Academy & I could not be more impressed. RJ is kind, professional, patient & efficient. He quickly won over our girl, learning her personality quirks and in turn has helped us learn to more effectively communicate with her. Such a great experience with K-9 Masters. RJ's training program is outstanding, the main reason for this is he tailors the program to what you want out of your dog. RJ ensured after every session I was satisfied with where my pup was at in the training schedule, customer satisfaction is obviously a priority. I will be going back for the advanced course.
